Unbridled Hope: Healing Through the Bond of Equine Therapy

We are thrilled to officially announce the launch of our new summer program, “Unbridled Hope.” This summer, four incredible young girls from our Families of the Incarcerated are stepping into a unique space of healing, growth, and transformation through equine-assisted therapy. For children navigating the complex emotional weight of having a loved one incarcerated and its affiliated trauma, traditional therapy can sometimes feel daunting. “Unbridled Hope” breaks down those barriers, pairing these resilient young ladies with horses to build trust, emotional awareness, and confidence.

None of this would be possible without the visionary heart and dedication of our therapist, Alicia, who has done an absolutely amazing job preparing these girls for the journey ahead. Her gentle guidance, deep empathy, and specialized approach have already created a safe, foundational harbor for them. Each of these girls will learn how to interact with these majestic animals; helping them discover their own strength, voice, and capacity to heal.

How You Can Help:

Programs like Unbridled Hope are made possible through your generous support and prayers. If you’d like to contribute to this amazing opportunity, please go to our website page and hit “donate.” Stay tuned for updates throughout the summer as we share stories of breakthroughs and joy from the stables!

Meet Our New Team Members

Gigi Hamman| Event Coordinator

We are thrilled to officially welcome our new Events Coordinator to the TPH team! She recently transitioned from a 33-year career as a pharmacist after feeling a clear calling from God to a new season of service.

Because she has served as a TPH mentor for over two years, her deep belief in this ministry made taking on this role a natural next step. She is driven by the belief that because God extends His grace and mercy to us, we must extend that same mercy to those behind bars, finding inspiration in Matthew 25: “I was in prison and you visited me… When you did it to the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to Me.”

Outside of her work, she and her husband, Dave (also a TPH mentor), have been married for ten years and share a blended family of 5 children and 6 grandchildren. They are die-hard UK fans who enjoy gardening, riding e-bikes, and birding. We are blessed to have her incredible energy supporting TPH.

Grounds for Hope Cafe Celebrates One-Year Milestone in Anchorage

The Anchorage community recently gathered to celebrate a special milestone for Grounds for Hope Cafe, which marked its one-year anniversary of serving the area. To commemorate the occasion, the cafe hosted a grand re-opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony in partnership with the East Louisville Chamber of Commerce. The event brought supporters and community members together to enjoy the festivities. The celebration provided a meaningful opportunity for the cafe to share its mission and highlight the wrap-around services it offers the community. Cafe leadership expressed their gratitude to Jillian Stevenson and Tyra Anderson for officiating the ribbon-cutting ceremony, as well as to everyone who attended and continues to support the cafe and The Prisoner’s Hope.
